College of Political Science

The College of Political Science was established with the launch of the university in the academic year 2019–2020, offering both morning and evening study programs. The college was founded according to the latest academic and scientific standards in terms of infrastructure and faculty selection, relying on distinguished academic staff capable of keeping pace with modern developments in political science, within the course system that adopted in the college. The college seeks to prepare specialized staffs in political science through scientific research and studies that contribute to serving and developing society. It aims to graduate specialists with strong political knowledge and the ability to manage state affairs at local, national, and international levels, as well as prepare professionals to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, universities, international and regional organizations, media institutions, and public relations fields. The college admits graduates of secondary school from both branches (scientific and literary) , in addition admits graduates of commercial secondary schools.. The duration of study is four years, after which the student is awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Students may also complete their studies within three years through the accelerated system adopted by the college.

The Faculty of Political Science, as an academic institution, seeks to be a leader at the national, regional and international levels, to contribute in building scientific and cognitive capabilities, which enhances the ability of graduate students to understand events and situations in light of a changing political environment locally, regionally and internationally, according to comprehensive quality standards, and in line with the requirements of global education and scientific research towards digital transformation in education to keep pace with the requirements and changes of the modern era related to education, technology and knowledge in general and political science curricula in particular.

Mission

The Faculty of Political Science aims to prepare graduates with solid scientific knowledge and advanced analytical and technical skills in political science fields such as international relations, public policy, political thought, foreign policy, diplomacy, political systems, and other related areas, in order to keep pace with the demands of scientific development. The faculty also works to promote rigorous scientific research, international academic engagement, and the use of digital transformation tools to enhance academic and administrative performance, thereby contributing to community service and supporting the public policy-making process.
